AI Assistant Usage Notice

SmithShop AI Assistant is designed as a review-first drafting and guidance tool. It should not be treated as a source of final legal, tax, medical, safety, financial, or regulated product advice.

Merchant-owned credentials

The AI Assistant uses credentials supplied by the merchant for the selected AI provider. The merchant is responsible for provider billing, provider terms, provider privacy rules, usage limits, model behavior, and API availability.

Review before publishing

AI-generated product titles, descriptions, SEO fields, CMS drafts, diagnostics, and customer-facing answers must be reviewed by the merchant before use. Do not publish AI output that contains false claims, unsupported promises, incorrect prices, inaccurate shipping statements, legal claims, medical claims, tax advice, or private customer information.

Do not send secrets or private data

Do not send payment data, passwords, API keys, webhook secrets, private customer records, regulated personal data, or confidential business information to AI providers through SmithShop prompts.

Customer-facing assistant

The customer-facing assistant should be treated as helpful guidance, not a final promise. Product availability, price, shipping, taxes, returns, compatibility, and warranty details should always be confirmed against the store's actual product and policy pages.
