Acceptable Use Policy

SmithShop may not be used for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, harmful, or fraudulent activity. Customers are responsible for the products, claims, content, policies, customer data, and business practices on stores they operate with SmithShop.

Prohibited use

  • Illegal products, unlawful services, counterfeit goods, stolen goods, fraud, scams, phishing, malware, or deceptive checkout behavior.
  • Spam, abusive email, unauthorized scraping, credential harvesting, hidden tracking, or unauthorized collection of personal data.
  • False advertising, fake reviews, misleading product claims, hidden fees, deceptive subscriptions, or confusing refund terms.
  • Products or services that require special licensing, age controls, regulated handling, or legal review unless the customer has verified lawful compliance.
  • Attempts to bypass SmithShop licensing, update signatures, security controls, payment controls, or access controls.

Merchant responsibility

The customer must comply with laws and provider rules that apply to their store, products, customers, payment processors, shipping carriers, tax obligations, privacy obligations, email marketing, advertising, and digital content.

Suspension or refusal

SmithShop may refuse support, updates, licensing services, or access to SmithShop-controlled services when a store is used in a way that appears unlawful, abusive, deceptive, harmful, or outside these acceptable use rules.
